With a two year old I'm going to need to be able to put Noah in a sling that will let me keep my hands as free as possible.  Right now I'm transporting him the infant carrier.  He's 12 pounds already, so it won't be long before he outgrows it.

Any way I was just wondering if anyone has ever used a moby wrap.  http://www.mobywrap.com/t-mobywrap.aspx

I'm wondering how complicated it actually is to use (it looks like it would be).   I'm also wondering after I got it on if there'd be any room for the baby.   I wear an XL shirt.   I'm going to see if I can find that info on the website.

Thanks girls,
Amy

I have one and I haven't used it a whole bunch yet - I'm thinking I will once she is a little bigger and it is summer time - but I like it so far! I bought it off of Craigslist for $25. It fits me just fine and I wear a large/xl. It is reallllly long and stretchy and you are supposed to put it pretty tightly to your body so it should fit you just fine! You have to make sure you stand right when you are wearing it because it can make my back hurt. If you practice the tying methods a few times it's pretty easy. It does look complicated on the website but you get the hang of it pretty quickly!

Thanks Ashlie!  Have you watched the demo video on the website?  It does make it look easier.  I was wondering if I could use it on Noah now (he can't hold his head up).  At the end of the video it shows how to tuck their head in.   She bent over and the baby didn't even move.  That's what I need.   I think I'll check craigslist myself!

I had one and then sold it.  I liked it.. but I never could get it tight enough to make me feel secure in letting my hands off the baby.  I found it stretched easily.   I was able to get it on nice and tight but as soon as I put the baby in... it stretched and I just felt like he was going to fall out.

Amy, I loved my moby wrap.  I used it from the time he was a newborn up until probably 15 months.  There are sooo many positions you can use for different stages.  And you should fit it.  It can tie in the front or back depending on your size.

I really like my Moby Wrap I used it alot when Bella was first born b/c I wanted to clean and she just slept away. I plan on using it ALOT this summer to walk outside with her. There are alot of positions an I think it's like 50 lbs before they grow out of it.

Hi Amy!
Moby wraps are great, and require some practice til you get it down. I have lots of slings, and when Lydia was little, my Peanut Wrap was my favorite. http://www.thepeanutshell.com/shop They have some really cute ones on sale! Now that Lydia is growing so quickly, I wear my Ergo Baby alllll the time! We both LOVE it!   http://www.ergobabycarrier.com/

Good luck!

Thanks Ladies!   I purchased a navy blue Moby wrap today.   I need to practice getting in on, but I think I'm going to like it.  I had Noah in it twice and both times he immediately went to sleep.   I can see me putting in on in the middle of night just to get him to sleep lol.
