Umbrella Stroller

Ok, I need experienced mother advice. I have my travel system picked out. I would like to find a reasonable umbrella stroller to have on hand. Just something no more than $80. I think any more than that would be ridiculous for a lightweight stroller to use in place of my big stroller at times.

I have read reviews and everything and am having trouble picking out one. I find one that I think is fine and then I read some of the reviews. My biggest concern, is that I am 5'8" and hubby is 6'4". I want something that I am not bent over pushing.

Any recommendations?

do you want one that reclines? and has a basket? or something super simple for quick walks and drug store trips?

I don't know what I need :) I would like something with a small net or small basket. Not a large like the big stroller. Just something that I could put a toy/sippy cup or something if they had it and got tired of holding it.

http://www.tallbabystuff.com/best-strollers.html        The best one touted is from tallparents.com (called the EZ strollers and gets fabby reviews at about $55).   I tried to check the website but looks like its under construction right now....figures.   Maybe do some other googling.  There's a whole world out there for tall parents evidently.

i am the same way. I don't want to be a hunchback just to take the kid out for a walk. Should be interesting to see if there are any.

If you find a cheap one, let me know! My umbrella stroller with my daughter was horrible cause I was hunched over pushing it, I hardly ever used it cause it killed my back. There has got to be one that adjusts though.

I don't know about the stroller, but I do know that you can buy a stroller handle extender for like $15 for whatever you buy so that you're not hunching over.

Are those just for umbrella strollers or do they make them for regular strollers too? And where did you find them? (if you remember, if not you don't have to go looking again just to tell me) They ARE making stroller handles taller these days but I'm 6 feet tall and sometimes the regular strollers are just not tall enough for my liking. I don't know how tall the one I'm looking to get online is (guess I should pay attention to the dimensions.....duh....lol) so I'm hoping it will be tall enough. I'm all for a stroller with adjustable handles......wonder if they make those?

I saw them at www.onestepahead.com

I'm sure other places carry them (like Amazon.com) for cheaper.  It looks like they just velcro on, so they could be used for a regular stroller.
