Had a SCARE

 I went to the doctor on Friday for my normal 4 week check up, and first of all the oBGYN was 1 hour and 15 minutes late. She has always been at least an hour late... so I am seeing a pattern. I am 21 weeks and the only thing that she does on these visits right now is measure my uterus and listen for the heart beat. So she went to listen for the heart beat and COULDN'T find it. For my last two visits there was no problem hearing the heartbeat....she looked for the longest 5 minutes of my life. Then she was like we need to go across the hall to do an ultra sound. It was a small room and my fiance was there. We all crowded in and she stood right infront of the screen, I tried to move my head to see the screen and she said, "mom I need you to relax, dad and I will take a look." They soon saw the heart beat, but she didn't even move so that I could see it!!!! I was so stressed by the end of the visit i was ready to go look for a new doctor!

That is scary. I'm glad everything is ok. In the beginning of my pregnancy, they could never find the heartbeat with the dopplar and it freaked me out each time, and each time they did an ultrasound and found it. It is so scary though. Now that I'm farther along, they've been finding it right away, thank goodness.
If my doctor was that late all the time, I think I might either say something or look for a different doc. Good luck to you.
