Update - AFP

The nurse just called about my AFP test.  She told me that the number that was respresented was not the actual result.....the pathologist does an abstract taking into account that number, my age, length of pregnancy, number of pregnancies, weight and then provides them with a  "positive or negative".

She called the pathologist and my result is negative.  Which is good news.  I just wonder why they don't call and tell their patients those little tid bits so they don't worry......
