Update--many blessings this week!

So yesterday was my 37 week appt.  I went in for the normal check.  My cervix is still about the same as last time on the inside; however, getting thinner on the outside. (Not sure what all that means, but it must mean progress or she probably wouldn't have mentioned)...  But most exciting part of the appt is...she told me after the ultrasound on the 14th they will schedule my induction for either 19th, 20th or 21st.  They had told me about half way through they would induce me at 39 weeks, but to hear them put a date...even if it is one of three days, it still is a date, and that mean the most I will have to wait to hold my little girl is 19 days...yes you read that correctly, 19 days!!!!  So to celebrate, I went for a prenatal massage...oh wow was that nice.  I was a little worried at first laying on the table for 60 mins (of course between the two sides), but it was wonderful.  I recommend to anyone thinking about it!!

So to my last blessing through this week...yesterday at work they had me a baby shower.  Now, I knew they were going to have one, but I had no idea it was going to be this big and wonderful.  They actually had a lunch brought in, cake, and the gifts were unreal bag after bag-.  I have some wonderful folks I work with....

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and your Easter is bright and cheerful!

GOD BLESS-Stacey

LOL. I just painted mine yesterday and I think it may be the last time. I could still do it, but it wasn't comfy.

I would be sure you go check with your doctor and the hospital with their policy regarding polish.  Some require no make-up, no polish on toes/fingers.  You can still get the pedi, just forfeit the polish if hospital doesn't allow... or ask if clear is ok.  I know my hospital was no make-up for my scheduled section.  They did say I could use my moisturizer though... otherwise my face would have been miserable.

Oh no, I didn't even think about that. That would not make me happy. I wanted to be made up so I don't look so horrible for pictures like I did with my first one . Thanks for the warning, I will definately be sure to ask. I know that they probably won't let me wear my contacts but I didn't even think about the makeup thing.

I know the polish thing has to do with how they check your vitals during surgery. My hosptial has this policy with any scheduled surgery.... your toes might be ok... but I would ask. I think it's mostly your fingers.

B-thanks for the warning, it too never crossed my mind to ask.  Make ups not a problem.  Ever since I met my husband he doesn't care for make up, so I hardly ever wear it...usually just if we are going to something nice (dinner, party or something) and on Sundays...when I go to church...

Well if I can't wear toe nail polish...no biggy...I will just be sure no one gets toe shots!  Well at least not of mine!!!

Yep Liz, He is scheduled to head to the ship 5/1...my dr said not to worry, he would get a few weeks with his daughter...so I am excited they understand our situation...I also think they were leaning towards getting it started early due to her small size...I just can't believe it...you will be there soon enough too...what you are at like 34 weeks or so...funny how us "regulars" on this board can remember things about one another, but mercy, don't ask me what I did at work yesterday...

Hope your doing well!  Stacey
