Some common terms:

TTC - trying to conceive
BFP - big fat positive (positive pregnancy test)
BFN - big fat negative (negative pregnancy test)
CD - the day of your menstrual cycle
O - ovulation
DPO - days past ovulation
LP - luteal phase (time from ovulation to period)
AF - aunt flow ( your period)
PG - pregnant/pregnancy
MC - misscarriage
RE - reproductive endocrinologist
OPK - ovulation prediction kit
CL - coverline ( for those taking their temps to confirm ovulation)
Met - metformin or glucophage ( a diabetes medication sometimes taken to help hormone levels and ovulation)
BD - baby dancing ( having timed intercourse)
DTD - doing the deed
IUI - inter uterine insemination
IVF - in vitro fertilization
PCOS - polycystic ovarian syndrome
POAS - pee on a stick (taking a pregnancy test)
2WW - two week wait...time from ovulation until you can test for pg

CD 15. Same as always...cycle, positive on opk, ewcm, BD, and a bfn a couple weeks later then more anger eating and more weight gain. Sorry for the depressing post but it's a holiday and all days get to me when the topic is pregnancy and babies but a holiday is worse. It's official I won the title of the person on the TTC Friday Post the longest.

I'm sorry Tami. There really isn't anything I can say to make it better, it sucks! I just hope it heps a little to know you're surrounded by people who "get it" and give a damn.

CD10 here, waiting to "O"...LOL  Temping and charting as usual, finished round of Clomid yesterday, FX for it to happen this month...Congrats to all the new babies and pregnancies.

Hi!  I'm TTC, as well.    I went to the store today to get some ovulation sticks... today's the last day of my period, so I'll be giving those a shot to try and take some of the guesswork out of when my "window of opportunity is."  LOL.  This will be the first month that I've TTC during ovulation... last month we got started, but my "window" was already passed.

 Hi Ladies,
I am on CD13 I added a pic of my OPK's up till today. I also have gotten 2 peak readings on my new monitor. So keep your fingers crossed for me. We have BD for the last two nights in a row and I had some pretty bad ovulation pain today. So I hope I get a BFP for my birthday.
