UPDATED INSIDE: Contractions again....feeling like a dumbass

Sooo...I decided around 11 this morning when they got really bad to start really writing it down, and was astonished to see(if I am doing this correctly....from the start of the pain to the start of the next) that these look to be 2 to 3 mins apart.  I am sure its wrong, I am sure its a false alarm.  They gave me the option of going to see them first or going to Northside(hosp)....so I am going to see them to be put on the fetal monitor to see whats going on. 

I am so hungry but I havent ate today.  did not want anything.  Been having diareah(spelling is atrocious)...for two days and feel like I need to blow chunks!

I am really hoping its a false alarm...totally not ready yet

Sorry your feeling bad.  Here's a link to a program that will keep up with your contractions.  Just to let you know....my bf had nausea and diarrhea right before she went into labor.  She thought she was getting a stomach virus.  Her Dr said that it can be early signs of labor.  Good Luck....lets hope the little one stays put a little longer.

I've read that diarrhea can bring on contractions because the intestines start having spasms, which is right next to the baby, which then causes your uterus to start contracting! And some babies just want to come a month or so earlier than expected too! Don't feel dumb though, the hospitals get this all the time from pregnant women- especially first time Moms. It's better to be safe than sorry, this is your baby and a human life you are dealing with.

I went in to the hospital on monday night because I was contracting and was in a lot of pain and they sent me home after 3 hrs. I've been induced with the other 2, so never went into labor on my own, so I didn't know what to expect or do. I felt dumb but wanted to see if anything was going on and I was dialated more (I am a 3 right now). Oh well, just 3 more days for me and then I get to go in. GL to you!

We are back home!  Soon as I got there, it felt like they tapered off, but they did the NST and sure enough I was contracting but it was very irregular.  Baby's HB was great, they did another ultrasound, and baby was engaged last time head down but is still head down but has floated back up again.  Can anyone say "big head"?  My blood pressure is still higher than I like, and this time they mentioned it.  That, along with other things has them thinking that they may induce by 39wks, possibly 38wks if I don't go into labor on my own.  Not sure about that, they would seriously have to give me some reasons.  Blood pressure still in the 130s over the 70s so yes it is higher for me, but not for the end of pregnancy.

We are 50% effaced, not dilated at ALL at this point(yep, I had another cervical check...fun fun stuff!) so we will see.

They were so great about it though.  The doc just kept saying, she had two false alarms and she is a doctor!  The doc that should deliver us recognized me by face on the way out and made sure I knew he was on call this weekend if we went into labor!  So sweet!

Sounds like she wants out!  Either that or your just making stuff up to get ultrasounds. :) 

I know what you mean about feeling like you're being a nuisance.  I called the doctor the other day because I had been having really severe diarrhea and I felt like I was just being a pain in the ass even though it's the only time I've called them for anything.

Your new doctor's office sounds so nice.  I bet you're so glad you switched even if it was a little late in the game.

Man I wish!!! I think Ms Bella was playing an April Fools Joke on Mommy.  Not funny!  She has been very busy since we got back making sure I understand she hates NSTs.  It was cool to get the u/s, but I didnt know it was coming.  They could have sworn that child went breech!  Her HB is above my belly button and she is all scrunched up but still head down facing the world and looking pizzed!

Still contracting, but apparently not enough to count...but hey...I think it is changing things down there.  Excited to know I am effacing.  Its a start.

How weird is it that we have the same surgeons office and are our due dates are so close together??? Your ticker is blocked from my work comp (stupid work lol) but aren't you around 35-36 weeks?

Anyways...

The same thing happened to me last week. Some were contractions, but some of it was where the baby's head was pressing on my pubic bone or some nerve right around there (doc said the specific word but I can't remember) and it was sending this sharp pain from my bone halfway up my navel. Not contractions :-( I felt like such a dumba$$. I've had BH contractions on and off for weeks and weeks. Doc says wait until I've been having them regularly for two hours. That's a long time!! I'm hoping my labor is like my first... my water broke before contractions started so there was NO denying the fact that I was indeed in labor.
