Fluid/ Discharge

Since my colposcopy last Friday, I have had a brownish discharge. Yesterday I started with a clear discharge and some fluid leakage. I go to the OB this afternoon, but I am afraid that it might be amniotic fluid.......I'm scared that once I get there the baby will be in danger.

It has a slight odor, but nothing too strong or offensive.

This can be a normal reaction of the irritation of the tissues cause by the procedure. Relax it will go away in a day or two as the lining of your inners return to normal.

From what I have read amniotic fluid smells slightly sweet if at all.

I hope that it is nothing and am glad that you are seeing the OB this afternoon - that'll put your mind at ease!
