anyone heard of this?
Sorry I haven't been around more! I am currently 22 week along with a boy! His name will be Samuel Anthony. His big brother Josh is very excited!
I was watching a TLC program where a woman who had gastric bypass said she had a harder time with lower back issues BECAUSE of her surgery. I had never heard of this before, but it made me wonder, because I have already had to see a physical therapist for my lower back pain. Is it possible it's worse because of RNY? I would think, after losing 140 lbs, it would be BETTER!!
Thanks!
So i guess there might be some sort of truth to this...
Good luck!

Congrats on the baby boy!
It's only normal that we'll have some back issues as the weight comes off - our gait is greatly affected by the extra pounds we carry and it's healthy to consult a chiropractor or osteopath to have regular adjustments as you lose - that way not only are you keeping your back and spine healthy, but you're also sparing yourself pain and shoe wear from poor gait.
Personally, the issue I now have, after having lost 130 lbs is that I found a hard lump near my tailbone/****yx area that was somewhat bothersome at first but has literally become a "pain in the ass" now that I am pregnant! It almost feels like a sciatic nerve issue, but having had that before, I know it isn't the same..
My chiro thought it might be a calcification; the PCP suggested its always been there but that my @ss was so thick before I just never felt it... either way, it tires me, causes pain when I sit for too long or am not mindful of "how" I sit - like sitting too far back on the toilet will cause pain, for example.. Am seeing an osteopath tomorrow to see what she thinks...
Overall though I can say that I have not had back issues - in fact, I can wear high heel shoes for hours now and not feel any burning pain in my feet or back.. even preggo!
