Gotta go get checked this afternoon...contractions
I think they are just Braxton-Hicks contractions...but the doc office is not so sure. Basically, they come on very frequently and then stop after an hour or so and then start back very close together. That, along with the pelvic pressure, menstrual cramping, and the B&Hs make them nervous. I am staying hydrated(just finished a Bubba cup of water)...and Bella's movements are intensifying with the contractions...so I go in later today for a check.
Sigh...I already feel I am a weekly patient! Anybody else feel as stupid as me? I am a first time being pregnant type of person...and if something changes...I'm gonna ask...but I always feel dumb because I don't know. They are absolutely wonderful about it...I just feel stupid!

I hear ya. I had an impromptu appointment with my OB yesterday because I've been having severe diarrhea since Sunday. She asked me if I've been having contractions and I didn't know. I feel really stupid sometimes but I've never done this before.
Yesterday was the first time I've called with a problem between visits and I still felt like I was being a pain in the ass.
I'm afraid I'm going to be in labor for days and not even know it. Good thing I'm having NSTs twice a week and they'll be able to tell me if I'm contracting because hell if I know!

Lap Band September 2007 / Slip discovered March 2014 after significant regain / Revised to VSG April 29, 2014
Yeah..they have become progressively more painful and intense. And to make matters worse, I think Belle went breech again...at least from the type of movement I have been having.
(Sarah...my mom thought she'd be asleep when she had us!)

will do. I don't even have a loss behind me...I'm just really really paranoid! And they really hurt! At first, they were just annoying...now they take my breath and make my stomach really hard....and its like a wave...from the top to the bottom....best I can explain. I just really hope she stays in there a couple more weeks...No NICU for Bella!

Being a first timer is HARD! Don't feel stupid.......cuz you're not! You're just concerned and if you weren't concerned, then I'd be concerned. It's normal and natural and you're doing the right thing. They are there for YOU to help you and unless you're calling every single day for every little cramp or twinge, then you're doing the right thing by calling when something concerns you. Don't feel dumb. It could be one of the times that you DON'T call and then something is really wrong that could cause a problem. So better to call for 10 non-urgent things then to NOT call for the big emergent thing and something happen.
Let us know how everything turns out. Hopefully they are just pain in the butt BH contractions. Your daughter is going to be a willful little thing........you know that don't you?? LOL Our little Noah, who is our CURRENT baby (at 3 1/2! lol) gave me all kinds of trouble when I was pregnant with him, pre-term labor, had to take medication for months to keep contractions stopped, was on complete bedrest forever. Then the little toot NEVER dilated me (shortened up my cervix but never dilated), stayed in there til his 39 week c-section date and is now our most active little (willful) child. My MIL predicted he would be........even when he was newborn......and I just didn't see it. Didn't take me long before I started to.....the little turkey. But he's also, I have to say, our sweetest most sensitive child (with the exception of his 7 year old sister who he's basically "tied" with).
It's funny how we can "tell" our little ones' personalities before they ever make it into this world. Bella is bound and determined to get her way already huh? (thinking she's turned breech again?) I hope everything turns out ok at your check! Let us know!

I just went in last night to L&D to have them check on me because I was having some strong contractions. They ended up sending me home after 2 hrs of monitoring me and said it could be pre-labor cuz I'm almost due. They said if the contractions get to be 3-5 mins apart and last 60-90 seconds each to come back in. It's so frustrating because I get induced on Sunday morning but I want him out NOW!!! We'll see though, he'll get here when he gets here I guess.
GL to you and hopefully she stays in there for a little longer to bake!
