Felt definite movement for the first time; what a joy!

Today I went to visit my OB/GYN for m 17 week check up.  During this visit the doctor asked me whether or not I had been feeling the baby move.  I comically stated that I am a first time mom so I don't know if it's gas or flutters.  Well, while he was monitoring the heart beat he said he will let me know when the baby moves so I would know what to look for.  No more than a couple of seconds later , the baby literally kicked the heck out of me.  It was such a wonderful feeling to know that all is well.  The doctor say wow that baby can really kick.  After leaving out of the dr's office I told I told the father that I guess the baby is either going to be a soccer pro or a boxer because he (hoping for a boy!) has a heck of a punch.

Isn't that just the most awesome feeling!!! I am 32 weeks and feel the baby move A LOT and still love every second of it! I swear my baby is practicing to be a star fish (each appendage in a different direction lol)

It's amazing to actually be able to experience another life growing inside of you. At first I was worried because I didn't feel any movement, but today was such a pleasant surprise.

Isn't it just amazing?! I too asked the OB what it felt like because I sometimes "thought" I was feeling him move but wasn't sure if it was dinner, gas, water... who knows.. so the Doc said it felt like a flutter or a butterfly landing on your hand - like I had ANY idea what that felt like.. but when I finally felt munchkin move for the first time, it just stopped me in my tracks!  Just last night it felt like he was auditioning for Cirque du Soleil and it was just awesome LOL  It's SO comforting to finally feel them, specially when you don't look or feel pregnant for such a long time!  Congrats Keisha!

When I read your response this morning I almost fell out of my chair.  Your baby must really be doing some serious moving to seem as though he was auditioning for the Cirque du Soleil; I really can't wait to experience that.

That's awesome! Isn't it the most amazing feeling in the whole world. I swear people think I am crazy because I just get a huge smile on my face every time I feel my little Rory move. I love it!!!!

P.S. Hopefully you wouldn't be too disappointed with a soccer playing girl...they're pretty awesome too!
Mommy to 2 of the most beauiful little girls in the whole universe and still in love with my hubby of 8 years. LIFE IS GOOD!

It took me about 10 years to get pregnant, so I'd be happy with a soccer playing girl.  But, I will need to go back to several baby stores to take back the two baby bedding sets and all coordinating accessories along with a closet of cute clothes for boys.  I was really trying to exercise my faith on this one!

I find I feel him best when I lay on my back in bed.. On the night he was practicing flips for the Cirque, I'd just had a glass of OJ, so no doubt the sugars got him all excited! Give it time and yours will be all over the place too.. isn't it exciting?!
