Hello Everyone!! I am writing because my hubby and I are thinking about having another baby. I had my surgery in June of 2009 and will be making a year in about 3 months. I started off 244lbs and am now 156lbs and still losing. I WANT another baby, but I REALLY don't want to gain any weight! I know, doesn't make much sense. ALSO, I want to enjoy my small body for a while. I just don't want a huge gap between my kids. My son turned 2 in January and I really don't want them more than 3 years apart. I am nervous and want to have a healthy baby. Any advice?!?!?!

Thanks!!!

congrats on your weight loss!... just like any other pregnancy you WILL gain weight... i suggest you wait until your weight loss has been stable for a few months before trying for a baby...

I think you know that you will really need to gain at least a little weight in order to have a baby. I think you have to weigh your pros and cons and figure out whether it's more important for you that you can enjoy your small body for a little while (which I totally understand) or whether you want you want your kids to be close in age. It's a tough decision to make. One of the main reasons I had GB was so that my hubby and I could have children. But when I got thin, part of me wanted to wait really bad and enjoy the new bod. I decided to go ahead and get pregnant because I wanted a child more than I wanted my thin body, but it was a tough decision. I hope you and your hubby can make a good decision together.

Good luck!
