Terrbily uncomfortable need someone's opinion

Well, I am 36 weeks. I have been having some terrible upper abdominal pain and upper back pain for about three days now. On Saturday went to L&D with that pain and contractions on top of it. I was very dehydrated and got IV fluids and the shot . But they did nothing about my stomach pain! I can hardly eat or drink and haven't went #2 for two going on three days now. I called the nurse with my OB today and left a message waiting for a call back now. Or could this be Bypass related. Oh, I also am having a hard time standing upright and can't lie on my sdie or flat on my back. I feel like an total crap!!!!My stomach muscles are constantly tense like I did 1000 situps!!! Part of me wishes they took this kid out on Saturday but I know it's better if he stays in a tad longer. I swear next time I won't let them stop it 3rd times a charm! Has anyone one else felt this terrbile? And this is my 4th child, it's kicking my butt!!

You could be constipated. My stomach hurts like that at the top cuz a loop of bowel runs up and across the top of our stomachs........and when you're backed up, it hurts. Try some MOM or up your water and fiber intake and see if that makes you feel any better or gets you any relief.

Or it could just simply be "baby in the ribs" and you just have to deal. My 1st one felt like he had me bruised up in that area. It was so painful.

Do you have your gallbladder? With my 4th baby, my gallbladder gave me fits and would hurt me like you're describing. Got some Nexium and that was the end of that pain.

This is my 5th baby and I've already got the constipation pain going on. It hits me hard every night and it hurts! It makes me physically exhausted and makes my belly REALLY hurt horribly bad, even after I go. I haven't tried meds for it yet......trying to take care of it naturally, but nothing is working yet. I may give up and take some milk of magnesia or Colace if it doesn't quit. Call your OB and see what you're allowed to take for constipation. I'm bettin' that's what's wrong. I hope you feel better soon!!

I've been having that kind of pain on and off for about a year.....I've been to several doctors and gone thru a lot of tests.....it seems to happen when I'm constipated so that may be the problem .....I'm not sure what it is......
