I am hijacking some gift ideas....sorry long...

Okay brilliant ladies-So I am thinking of gifts to give both hubby and step-daughter when our lil girl arrives.  I only have three weeks (or less-they will induce at 39 weeks so my husband can be sure to meet his lil girl before deployment of 8 months)....Anyways...

So hi-jacked gift #1-I can't remember who said this but someone mentioned for their husband they gave a Bible and the babies footprints were put in it when she was born...well I plan to do the same, but I added a little extra.  My husband lost his first child a boy at full term.  Due to this my husband constantly just wants our baby to be delivered.  I understand 100% and how hard this is for him.  This is just about the time he lost him.  So after that occurred my husband got a tattoo of an angel on his chest.  He has also made this angel into a pendant, and has it in a drawing.  This is his way of remember his son.  So, in the front of the Bible, my mother and I managed to drawl the angel.  It turned out really nice.  So we also have a 6 year old step daughter (again from my husband's previous marriage)..her hand print will be in the other side of the Bible beside where I am going to ask them to put lil girl's footprint. 

So hi-jack gift idea #2--this is the only ladies I need some ideas on...Liz gave me the idea of letting the new baby give Jas my step daughter a gift.  Do you guys have some ideas on what to get her?  I want it to be memorable 10 years from now, but at the same time, I want it to be for a six year old....I am open to all kinds of suggestions...so get those brains pumping.

What about a charm bracelet. Something you can add to thru the years. Something maybe her baby sister adds for special days(birthdays,X-mas ect..) Just an idea.

AS for Jas - I'd say something that screams "big girl". I like Jackie's idea of a charm bracelet. Is she a girly girl or more of a tom boy?

I love the charm bracelet idea - maybe a Pandora bracelet and get a baby charm for when your daughter is born and again, add to it through the years for different occasions.

My mom gave my sister and I a porcelain doll from 'the baby' when my brother was born, we both still have it.  When my sister was born I was 3 and I got a regular baby doll, no clue where that is now lol!

Maybe a nice necklace or bracelet that says "big sister" (not a cheap, cheesy one though.)
