Tell me what you think.....honestly
Hi Allie! Can't believe you are almost half way there!! I like the first better...but if you are worried about cost I can think of a couple of other options. Emma's had pink, so with Micah I needed something new. I reused her sheets that were mint green and bought a bumper at the thrift store for $6. Or I am sure you have one left over from one of your other children. If you really want to change things up I know you can sew and you could make a new slip cover for an old bumper. It would be just a few bucks for a cute material at a factory outlet....then you could get the pattern you really want. And a dust ruffle really isn't necessary.
I wish I could stay at home with my babies, but I have to work part time to make ends meet and there really isn't money left over for extras. It is more important to me to have the time with my babies than have the dust ruffle, you know. There are so many other things we NEED the money for. Like food and utilities. We barely bought anything for Micah new. We got a few gifts ( I didn't think a second shower was appropriate since we had everything from Emma) and the other things I pick up second hand.
Anyway...good luck with your decision. Sometimes you have to choose your battles and do what is needed, not what is wanted. Shari

Thanks Shari! I can't believe it either! And since I'm having a c-section early, I'm already officially halfway done! Yee haw! lol
Cost isn't really a big cincern, but I want to stay in a decent range. 80 bucks IS pushing it for me personally. I don't need a dust ruffle, but if the bedding set comes with it, I guess I get it too....lol If it doesn't come with one, I'm not buying one. Never had one with the others. It just gets all crumpled up anyway. I just want the crib sheet, comforter and bumpers. I was initially going to sew (now that you mention sewing) the entire set, but then I thought I'd have more pressure on me to get something done that I really don't have the energy to do. We need so few things for this baby that 60 bucks for a bedding set didn't seem like a huge splurge, but now that I think about it........what am I REALLY going to get for 60 bucks? Three things?? lol It's just that all of our other things have gone through a LOT of wear and tear going through 3 kids. We've had to buy some new things for this baby because some of the other things were just not able to be reused.
I guess I got some thinking to do. To buy or to sew........that is the question. I'm not a very good decision maker! lol I want to be frugal and all without stressing myself out. But Lord knows I LOVE looking at fabric! And my sewing maching DOES need some love.......lol Thanks for the advice Shari. You've made me think!
