Hating the scale..
So I have really been freaking out because I am almost 14 weeks and I have gained 6 pounds. This is way more than I expected to have gained at this point and really I am not doing anything different, eating wise, than I did before I was prego. I walk 2 miles a day and I just don't know what else I can do to stop gaining so much weight! Any advice would be great thanks!
From what I've read, you're supposed to gain about 6 pounds in the first trimester so I'd say you're right on track.
Sounds like you're doing the right things by eating well and excercising to keep yourself and baby healthy. If your doc isn't worried, you shouldn't be either!

This probably isn't what you want to hear, but it's the truth. Now isn't the time to worry about weight gain :-). It was super hard for me when I started gaining a little but now I'm actually trying to eat more because I'm afraid my baby is going to come out small because I've only gained 8lbs.
As long as you know you're doing the right things (eating right, drinking lots of water, staying active, etc) then don't worry about the gain. It could easily all be water retention (which it probably is). Your body stores lots of water and your blood volume increases a lot, even in the first and second trimester.

I agree with Katiebug on the weight gain; I gave thinking about it months ago. I can't ignore it, but at the same time, I can't change what the baby needs from me. I am at the point now, I just get on scale...don't even take my shoes off...one of my golden rules of weight...I just know I am determine when my baby arrives to work on it and get back to my pre-preggo weight.
It sounds like you are doing great, so good luck with the rest of the weeks! Stacey

Thank you all, I know this is all part of having a healthy baby which is definately my number one goal I just didn't expect it to be so hard for me to handle gaining weight again. I am just so thankful that there is a place like this to go to where I can say how I am feeling and everyone actually understands where I'm coming from!
