34 Week Ultrasound and OB Appointment
We had our 34 week ultrasound yesterday and OB appoinment this morning. Everything is going great. I'm Type 2 Diabetic and started having trouble controlling blood sugar at about 30 weeks so we've been trying to figure out the formula to fix that and it seems we've finally found the right combo of meds at the right times. My blood sugars are doing great.
So, because of the troubles I was having with blood sugar until last week, I was very worried that we were going to find out yesterday that the baby was huge. Not so....she's perfect. In the 45th percentile at 5lb 2oz with very chubby cheeks. All heart function was great, fluid level perfect. She's also head down now. I did learn that the further along you get, the more uncomfortable ultrasounds are! She had to really shove me around to get all the angles she needed. At one point she said the baby was trying to grab her foot but hubby and I admitted to each other afterwards that we couldn't see that...lol.
OB appointment was also great. Doctor was very happy with the US results and my belly is measuring right at 34 weeks. I'll keep going for my NSTs twice a week but I don't have to see her again for 2 weeks. At my next appointment she'll start checking my cervix. The hospital has a no video during delivery policy but I talked to her and she said I could Skype during since it won't be recording. That way I can have my Mom "there" with me so that made me very happy.
Yay!!! 34 weeks!!!
