Andrea-question for you!!!!
Andrea,
I had to have an emergency hysterectomy on Mar. 8th and have to go on hoormone replacement therapy and was wondering if you had any research on the malabsorbtion of the oral hormones. I have a call into my GYNE and no word from him yet. I have a script for the patch and the pills. I am taking the pills from before the surgery until they are gone. I tired to look online and I couldn't find anything on this.
Any information or links that you have on this, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks for your help Andrea and others

(Sorry, I haven't been on this board in a long time)
After you've been malabsorbed for awhile, the malabsorption won't be as much of a problem. You'll just take a dose, then test and see if you need to adjust. It's not a big deal. I was hypothyroid after my RNY (13 months) and I only had to be titrated I think 2x and that's cause I was pregnant with Kaitlin.
Not a huge difference, honestly.
