Feeing sorry for myself
I am miserable. This polyhydraminos is kicking my butt. My belly hurts so bad because it's constantly tense. They said uterine irritability is normal in poly, but my goodness, this is major. Had an appt today and during my NST, my toco never went below 30. The nurse was like, look there's a contraction, then the measurement never went down. She finally realized that was just the tension in my uterus from the poly. When I did have contractions, the toco would go up to the 60's. No wonder I hurt, it's like I'm having one giant constant contraction.
I tried getting some sympathy from the doc and seeing if we could plan to deliver around 37 weeks because I can't sleep, breathe, etc. She told me to take Tylenol PM. Thanks a lot lady, you're no help! I left there in tears. I look forward to seeing my OB next week and trying again.

I am on #5 baby now and from my past experiences is that doctors do NOT care how much pain us women are in as long as the baby is ok. I went thru hell with my last baby and they still delivered him at 35wks. He having trouble breathing and a few other problems but he was in NICU for a week. Wouldn't have been that long if I had know it was a DAMN teaching hospital and they took my baby off the lights for jaundice because a baby whos parent was OF HIGHER RANK (army) needed them also so my baby had to give them up for that baby..ok sorry got way off subject..the jist is Drs DONT care and most of them DONT know as much as they think they do!! I pray for you and ur sweet pea! I was in labour for 4 days n they didnt care at all.
I had polyhydramnios with my last one. What was your fluid measurement? I was pretty big and tight and very uncomfortable at the end of my pregnancy with him, but unfortunately, I had to just deal with it. Unless there's something wrong with the baby and it is necessary to take them early, you just have to grin and bear it. It sucks, but you just have to keep on goin', no matter how uncomfortable you are. And to make matters worse, in my last pregnancy, I was at my highest weight EVER.......around 450 (scale only went to about that at my OB's office, so I could've been bigger at that time!) so I was not only BIG, but BIG and pregnant! So glad I've got 250 pounds less this time. A LOT better. Hopefully your fluid will start reducing towards the end of your pregnancy. Mine did.....a little. I was still uncomfortable though! He was MORE than worth it to give him until my scheduled c-section at 39 weeks though. He was perfectly healthy.......just a HUGE pee-er.....still is! lol
