Level II Ultrasound Today
We went today for my level II ultrasound at my OB's office (not the maternal fetal Dr.). My hubby got to go but the kids were off for Spring Break and they were restless after the drive there so they needed an energy outlet and Daddy ended up having to take our two little boys (ages 3 & 6) to the van and outside to run around so Daddy didn't get to see yet ANOTHER ultrasound. I was sad, but the ultrasound tech made us a really good DVD and gave us some pictures so Daddy was happy with that. I would've got a DVD last week at the maternal fetal Dr. but she forgot to push record......*sigh*
So, the appointment went really good. She is still a girl.....lol I definitely saw her girl parts again. Last time it was not my main concern, but this time I wanted to see them more clearly so he showed them to me and yep, she's a she still! lol And I guess it's a lot safer to start buying the pink stuff now! lol
He didn't get a good picture of her bladder and kidneys so he's recommending to my OB that we do another one at my next appt. I'll be about 22 1/2 weeks then. THEN, I have to go back and see the maternal fetal Dr. again at 25 weeks for another ultrasound. THEN, I start getting growth ultrasounds on her starting at 28 weeks and he'll do those every two weeks until I'm 34 weeks then every week. But hey, I'm not the least bit offended about getting to see our sweet girl so much!
She was (thankfully) measuring pretty right on, about a week ahead. That's probably because her legs are LONG, thanks to her 6 foot tall mother and 6'1" father......lol So growth wise, she's doing awesome! No smallness going on in her. And last Wednesday she weighed 6oz. and today she weighed 9oz. She's moving on up so fast! We're so proud. We just literally can not stop being so happy!
I didn't see the Dr. today, just the PA and that was pretty routine.......pee in a cup, do the doppler, any questions?, then off to ultrasound. I did lose 2 pounds since my last visit. I thought I was doing better with my eating, but when I started thinking about it, the past 4-5 days I have not been eating very much. So, I'll try to do better with that! Anyway, just wanted to share our happy news! I hope everyone else is doing well.
