I am 19 weeks pregnant and have just recently started having problems burping (for hours) and problems eating.  Can you have an unfill while pregnant?  i am going to call my Dr tomorrow but figured I would see if others experienced anything like this?  Thank you!

You can get an unfill in pregnancy if you need one. I know my band plays games with me. One day it's tight and hard to get things down and the next I can eat a huge amount. I've heard it's hormones and/or the water retention.

Yes!  I went in at 8 weeks wanting just a little bit of an unfill but my doc insisted on taking a LOT out and I'm actually glad he did.  Eating with restriction is just such a hassle and I didn't need it.

I've maintained my weight really well...at least until this week when I gained five freaking pounds!  Up until now, I had only gained 12 pounds the whole pregnancy.

So, you can get unfilled and still maintain a healthy weight gain.

Sure you can. YOu can also get a fill if needed (depending on your doc of course). I had a small unfill while I had morning sickness and then had it put back in once it passed.

One of the things that can really affect it during pregnancy is that you're going to start retaining a lot more fluid, and it isn't just in your ankles,, it's in all your tissues, so your band can feel tighter, especially in the morning.

You can get an unfill. I had to have one at 19weeks due to a horrible stuck episode. None of my docs knew what to do or were out of the office. I didn't want to go through that again.  I'm much happier now.

At 19 weeks, the top of your uterus is still below your navel. Depending on where your port is, you should be able to get an unfill. Most ports are situated above the navel somewhere to the left or right so you should be fine.

Thank you all.  I had everything taken out of my band today.
