How can I thank DH?

I want to do something special for  DH because he's been absolutely amazing throughout my pregnancy. It would take way too long to list all the things he's done to be so wonderful, but to sum it up-- he's just plain amazing.

I want to do something special to thank him, but I'm not sure what. He goes out with his friends at will, so giving him a "boys night" isn't really anything out of the ordinary. I don't think sexual favors would be enough. We're taking a weekend at a lakehouse in a few weeks so that's out. I can't cook a big meal because I get worn out super easy when I'm on my feet for long (one reason why he's amazing). We have chill nights regularly... no kids, pizza, movies, popcorn, etc.

I was thinking of buying him something, but what would be good? If we want something, we buy it... so there's not much he'd love to have that he doesn't already own or plan to buy in the near future anyways.

Any suggestions? It doesn't have to be something you buy... but it can't be anything that requires too much physical effort on my part because like I said, I get worn out pretty easy. If I don't take it easy I'll wind up on bedrest with high blood pressure.

it may not have to be something big to have an impact. My hubby had a favorite book as a child that he thought was impossible to find. Well I found a hard copy version of it - wrapped it up with a note from the baby Thanking him for taking care of  "me and mommy" though everything and I can't wait to meet you so you can read me your favorite story. You would have thought I gave the man a million dollars.

SO maybe something just out of the ordinary - something he wouldn't buy himself or just something really sentimental. What about a couples massage or something like that?

For my DH, he gets to live. I agree with Liz tho, it just has to be something sentimental if it was me. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Sorry...but it does sound funny.  Hopefully things get better.  If you need someone to talk to...PM me.  I may not have the solution...but I can listen.  Just keep reminding yourself...it just MAY be pregnancy hormones making you more sensitive to what he says/does.  Be patient with him...it's good practice for when the baby gets here.

Something you can do when the baby is born.  My BF had (3) sun visors and had the nurses put the baby's foot prints on the sun visor.  (1) for daddy and the other (2) were for the grandfathers.  I had them take my son and had his foot prints put into my husband Bible.  I did not want to tell DH, but had too because he was wishy washy about being in the room for the delivery.  When I told him he was amazed and even more so now that our son is 2 years old.

Hope you find something.
