ECP....unexpected doc visit
Dear Evil Crotch Pain,
How dare you sneak up on me and bite me in the vajayjay? I hate you. Please go away.
Not your friend,
Anne
Went to the doctor today because the pelvic pressure and heaviness was getting just about unbearable and yesterday I started having sharp pains anytime I stood up and then even if I was sitting down. Doc checked, the cervix is still nice and closed, not soft, and thick. So yay...no baby having any time soon!!!! The hubs was afraid he was gonna have to share his bday yesterday...LOL.
Taught her a new word: ECP...Evil Crotch Pain. LOL. I know I heard it here somewhere. Anyways, she says its probably the blood vessels in the vagina dilating and swelling. So...basically i have to deal with it...but its nice to know that I can go out of town next weekend w/o worrying. Baby is still stubbornly breech and received another stern lecture from the doctor that she cannot stay that way. LOL. I love how this doctor talks to the babies like they will completely understand and obey her. Gotta love her style.
Anyways...just updating! Hope none of u meet the evil queen called ECP.
Updated since I had my baby....280(highest pregnant)/245(current)/140 still is my goal and I know I can do it!!!
I haven't had anything like that yet. I thank my lucky stars that so far I haven't had any unexpected trips to L&D or had to call my doctor with any issues....knock on wood.
I start twice weekly NSTs next Tuesday and we have another Ultrasound scheduled on 3/22 to check her size and position. As of our 28 week Ultrasound she was breech. Maybe she's head down now...I really can't tell. I never have any idea what I'm feeling...I just go with it.
Good luck with your ECP...sounds like torture.

He did an exam and pushed on a few points of my lower pelvic area which caused me to screach. He determined that my bones had begun the process of separating to make room for the baby to come out which is why I'm so uncomfortable and achy. He also said that at this point in pregnancy your body starts to release it's own natural muscle relaxers which help to contribute to the bones separating and the muscles loosening up. My cervix and everything was also closed and thick.
I feel your pain, OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
