Finding out sex?
Hubby wants to know what we are having. I don't. I want to not go gender specific with everything in case we have number 2 and it is the oppisite sex. That being said... I have been thinking that maybe we could find out but still get gender neutral on things that would be handed down. Any thoughts?
I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.

We are finding out the sex. We will go neutral on large items (stroller, car-seat, pack-n-play, highchair, etc). The bedding set will be gender specific. Clothing we will go with whatever. I am sure that onesies, bibs, burp clothes, wash clothes, etc will all be handed down. But, I am sure if it is a boy I will want some boy clothing and if girl want girl clothing.

We are in the same boat - hubby desperately wants to know but I don't. I think it is one of the last great surprises in life so we will wait for the Dr to tell us in the delivery room. We did a gender neutral theme for the room (under the sea / Nemo) and would have done the same if we knew boy or girl. All the things that we registered for are gender neutral. I figure that I'll get 1 "coming home" outfit for each gender and the one I don't use I'll pass along to a friend.
We're the complete opposite lol. We found out it was a girl and EVERYTHING is pink. I figure if this is my only girl, I'm going allll out. If we have a boy after this, he will get his own stuff! Good luck!

We decided to wait until delivery and doing that really made the labor and delivery a lot more exciting and then everyone was soooo anxious to find out after she was born so that was a lot of fun too! We went with all gender neutral things prior to the birth and have gotten so much girl stuff since she was born that she can't even wear all the outfits before she grows out of them!!

We didn't find out for our first baby. That drove everyone else crazy but we thought it was fun and exciting. So few surprises in life. Everything was gender neutral, but we also had clothes from family and friends for either sex. However, we didn't finalize two boy and two girl names until the night before, which my husband found to be somewhat stressful. He really wants to know for this one. I'd love for it to be a surprise but it means a lot to him to know ahead of time. So, I decided it will just be a surprise when I'm 5 months along, rather than in the delivery room this time.
I am doing similar to what Traci is doing. Girlie stuff for the bedroom and nuetral for all the stuff I will want to use for a 2nd (stroller, high chair, pack & play etc...). Both Hubby & I wanted to know and it has made my pregnancy so much more real knowing that i am having a girl and being able to call her by her name. I totally "get" why people wait, but I love knowing.
Mommy to 2 of the most beauiful little girls in the whole universe and still in love with my hubby of 8 years. LIFE IS GOOD!
i couldnt wait to find out and even though DH was a little dissapointed i was sooo excited to know its a girl...but hear so many stories about that changing ...anywho hope it doesnt cause am going ALL PINK AND GIRLY!!! all the way with ruffles and bows and lots and lots of pink so if my little bean decides to play tricks and be a boy its going to be boy wearing lots of pink...lol i know silly but love all the pink girly stuff ...had it been a boy i would have gone more neutral yellows and greens and stuff...so there you go i could not have waited even if i wanted !!!
