OMG!!
And we're the happiest freakin' parents in the WHOLE world right now!! And the reason is because our sweet little Kenzie showed NO physical markers of Down's!
Now the Dr. DID want to see me again in 8 weeks cuz she couldn't get all the clear pictures that she wanted of the heart cuz she kept moving. She couldn't get a good measurement of the top of her head cuz it was way below my pelvic bone and she couldn't get the wand down as far as she needed it. And the Dr. said that she couldn't count the baby's chromosomes by looking at an ultrasound, but that from what she saw there was no physical markers that she could see. She talked about the amnio with me and said that was the only way we could count the chromosomes to tell for sure if the baby was ok, but she said unless I planned to abort if the baby had Down's, then it wasn't really worth the risk of getting it done and I agreed. The chances of miscarriage from getting an amnio is 1:500 she said and it's just not worth it for me.
Our baby looked absolutely healthy, measured right on target and weighed a whopping 6oz. lol We're two ecstatic parents right now let me tell you!! Thank you all for all the prayers for our little girl!
