OB Visit Today - 15 Weeks & 2 Days

I have gained a total of five pounds this pregnancy. I really wish I was like everyone else and lost weight but just is not happening. My blood pressure was great.

They tried to get the baby on doppler but the baby was not cooperating. So, they did a quick ultrasound with those mobile ultrasound machines - THEY SUCK! But, at least I saw the heartbeat. The baby was curled up in a ball sleeping. It just stuck its arm up like it was waiving and curled back up. The tech moved the ultrasound thing and the baby pulled its arms back up again and you could see fingers. Then, it curled back up. She was having a good time she said getting it to wave at her. I wi**** would have moved all around but it was content sleeping.

So, I go back in four weeks. Nothing too exciting. I go back to my high risk OB on March 31 for last part of the screening for advanced maternal age, anatomy scan, and find out the sex. I am excited!

They always had a hard time finding the baby's heartbeat on dopplar until I got around 20 weeks then they find it really quickly. It is scary though when they can't find it and you're waiting for it to show on ultrasound. I'm glad everything is good, I bet next time the baby will be up and awake.

I hope it gets easier...it is so scary.

The only one I want the baby awake for is the one on the 3/31. That is to find out the sex. I just want it to cooperate and spread its legs!!

haha, I felt the same way. I was so anxious to know what it was that right when I turned 16 weeks I went to a baby store that did ultrasounds and found out it was a girl!!! I hope your baby cooperates like mine did :) I'm so happy to see you having GREAT progress. CONGRATS once again!

I would go but I already have a doctor's appointment with the high risk OB at 18 weeks and a few days so I will suck it up and wait until then.

Glad you got to find out early what you are having!

Wow Traci! I can't believe you are 15 weeks! I feel like you just told us you were pregnant. I am glad your little one is doing well. Can't wait to hear what you're having. It's torturous waiting. I hope it goes by fast for you!

Oh yeah...and I wanted to say, I feel like I am the only one gaining weight on this site as well. Everyone else seems to be losing (or only gaining like a pound the whole pregnancy). I just had my 20 week appt and I have gained 12 pounds for the whold pregnancy which is absolutely on target, but I feel like it's too much when I hear what people are saying on here.

I know what you are saying. I know you had RNY but I am had lapband. So, I know I don't have malabsorbtion issues, etc. So, it is a struggle. But, I am not really upset about it. I just keep thinking little baby is ok, I am fine! I am still like everyone and don't want to see my scale increasing!
