spotting and cramping

I had a transvaginal ultrasound yesterday and measured around 7 1/2 weeks when I am 9 1/2 by my calculations.  The baby is just not growing as fast as it should but it did show growth within a weeks time so I was relieved.  Today I started spotting and mild cramping.  I am flipping out.  I called the OB and he said that it is sometimes normal after a transvaginal u/s but this is my 3rd one during the pregnancy and the first time I have spotted.  I have been spotting for a couple of hours and it started out brown but now it is red.  Has anyone had this experience?  I just want to curl up on the bed and cry!  I have been sick with the stomach virus all week and now this.  The ob said to watch it and if it continues tomorrow then he will need to see me.  I don't think I can take much more of this.  Please pray for us.  I know that whatever is going to happen is going to happen and I wish that I wouldn't worry so much but that is easier said than done.  Enough venting for now.  Please pray that everything will work out!

I had cramping through the first 8 weeks or so of this pregnancy. I also had red spotting after the trans-vaginal ultrasound and the internal exams / PAP.My OB explained to me that the cervix is SUPER sensitive while you are pregnant and blood is rushing to the area so the small capilaries are extra full and can bleed very easily.

*hugs* I hope that this is the case! Did it feel like they were extra rough when they did the ultrasound?

Now go sit and put your feet up! pamper yourself this weekend and REST!

You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope everything is ok and the spotting is normal.

Saying a prayer for you. I also had a transvaginal ultrasound today and am having some pretty good cramping now. I say put your feet up and drink plenty of water.  Please keep us posted.
