Husbands

Hello,
Did you ladies have your hubbys go to every appointment with you?

My hubby has an extremely busy job with lots of meetings. He has gone to appointments where they were doing an ultrasound (just one to check heartbeat, and the big NT scan at high risk OB). He won't go to my regular OB appointments but he does go to my high risk appointments since I get an ultrasound.

He will start coming to the OB appointments when I get closer to my due date.

My husband has not been able to attend even one of my appointments with this pregnancy. However, my first pregnancy he attended several of them. This time, he's not able to get the time off of work.

My hubby goes to all the ultrasounds he can - he's missed a few, but I get one every month so it's OK . I go to the OB appts by myself because they don't do anything "exciting". That being said my hubby works 11am-9pm so I try and schedule them while he is on lunch (3-4) and the hospital is less then 5 minutes from his job. I do always call him after the appts and give him a run down.

My hubbby goes to all the ultrasounds (I get one every month) but doesn't go to the regualr OB appointments as they are quick and boring, lol. I see the High Risk OB 3 different times throughout this pregnancy, once at 12 weeks, 19 weeks and then again at 36. Hubby went to the 19 week one and plans on going to the 36.

If your hubby wants to go he totally should be invovled in every part, but if he is busy or doesn't really see the need only have him go to the ones you really want him there for!

My husband has gone to all but one appointment. He is off on Mondays and Tuesdays so I schedule them accordingly. I have my regular OB appt this coming Monday and he won't be able to go to this one.
I'm also going to start having NSTs twice a week pretty soon and he probably won't go to those unless they happen to be on his day off.

My hubasnd went with me to the first apt when I got my ultrasound, then to maternal fetal doc apt when they did the high res ultrasound and downs testing, and will go to the big ultra sound apt with me.  He has not gone to the couple of montly check up apts. I am in and out of there so quick nothing really for him to be there for at this point!!!!    As I get closer to my due date I may drag him along more.  He works and hour and a half away from our home and my doc so its hard for him to get there without taking a half day off work practicly.

 My hubby went to the very first OB appointment and the last one (where we knew I was going to be scheduled for a c-section).  He also went to the gender scan u/s.  The rest I went by myself.

I was lucky in the sense that my husband works evenings and all of my appointments were during my work day.  So, he was able to make it to every appointment with me.  We wouldn't have had it any other way.  I loved that he would sit there with me, ask the doctor questions, etc.

He is a leach when it come to the appts. He is planning on going to all of them as of right now.
