easter basket help...
It won't help for this year, but can give you a heads up for next year LOL About two or three days after Easter I hit Target and get each child an easter t-shirt and some stuff on clearence, then put it right in their baskets and then into the attic it goes. This way the next year I just have to throw some candy and maybe a little toy or two in it and we are done. Also, I freeze all the solid chocolate from Halloween, and melt it down to make handmade easter treats for their baskets.
I got my daughter a water table when she was around that same age- She loved it! We still have it tucked away from the snow for summer. It's a great outdoor activity. I would read and hang out outside while she played away. Sidewalk chalk is another similar thing- a great entertainer. How about bubbles? Target sells a No Spill container for bubbles- it really does not spill. They have small ones and really big ones too. They are great for mom because there is no mess. This year we are cutting back because of having twins due in June- she's only getting one larger gift and some candy. I would recommend the egg dying. My daughter has always loved it! She did really well the first time- about 18 months too. I had to supervise and her hands were rainbow for a few days but it was a blast. She loves it and still can't wait to do it every year. What can I say? It's a cheap entertainer too. Thanks for the post.
