Question about lunchmeat

I eat lunch meat, pref. turkey as well...without heating it. I know, I know...the do's and don'ts but baby and I are just fine at 26 weeks!

But from what I read, it is only safe it eat it if you heat it up right before you eat it.

Great! By the time I eat it, even heating it up right before I eat it, it's cold by the time I fini**** The tummy is sooooooooooooooo touch and go now.

I ate it all the time unheated. I buy from deli though and not the packaged stuff. Its funny when I had my 16 and 11 year old there was no such limits and my kids are just fine.

LOL I know! I am fine and so are my sibs (I am 37

, my sis is 25, and my bro is 22 going on 12). The APRN at the OB's office told me the only safe meat was from like Whole Foods and everything else had to be heated.

Hello~
My OB said to stay away from lunchmeat that was cut at the deli counter. He said eating pre-packaged lunchmeat in the cold section of the supermarket was perfectly fine to eat. You can try canned chicken- I eat that instead of lunchmeat. I have to say giving up the lunchmeat was the hardest thing I had to do with the pregnancy!!!

I was told all lunchmeat. I do know that I can't stomach the thought of eating canned chicken since I lived on that for my pureed stage.

I have not had wls yet but am prego again so I shouldnt even be on these boards...BUT...WTH I didnt know we were supposed to heat lunch meats!! Omg my 3 yr old love balogna and hot dogs right out the fridge. I eat lots of deli meats..omg..whats going to happen to me and my kids!! Im scared to death now! What do I do? As if I wasnt paraniod enough before and now this. lol Am I a bad mom?

Yup, cause your kid is gonna be normal! It's just a preggo thing I think. I know I used to eat hotdogs all the time straight from the fridge. ANd don't worry about the WLS. We aint gonna kick you outta here. ;)
