Cooper has an ear infection!!
Since Wed. he was fighting sleep and when he was going to sleep he'd grab my hand and put it up against his face/cheek. I thought it was sooo cute and endearing and let him fall asleep holding my hand against his head.
Now I think he was trying to tell me his ear hurt and I let it go almost a week! I am a bad mommy!!
He didn't tug on it. He didn't have a fever until today. He didn't cry when laying on his side (that's how he sleeps). So I didn't think ear infection. I thought he has a cold/cough and was teething...
On Saturday he clung to me and cried every time he coughed and didn't want to sleep. Saturday night he screamed so bad we almost took him to the ER.
Today I said "I can't take this any more!" and we went to the doctor. His upper teeth are trying to pop through AND he has an ear infection.
For the first time he's on antibiotics -- bubble gum medicine we used to call it - and it still smells the same as when I was a kid!
Just one dose and already he's taken a good 1.5 hour nap which is the longest he's slept since Friday night.
Poor Cooper... I'm having a pity party for him because he's too little to have one for himself!
Oh - and I told my mother-in-law about the pooping in the tub and (no joke) the first thing she asked was "Did it float?" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Again.... how about "Did Cooper Eat it?" "Did it clog the drain?" Do people ask you after you have a bowel movement if it floated in the toilet bowel??? Geesh.
Below is Cooper playing in the pantry because it's a "forbidden" and it made him happy. Mommy is also letting him skip his peas, have his "suckie" all day long and play with the dog toys. I think he'll milk this sick thing as long as he can....heh heh.
I told him when he's older and sick he can have 7-up -- but not now.

I hope this is his first and last ear infection! With Hannah it helped to keep her propped up when she slept. That's how I would know she had an ear infection. She would scream when I laid her down. Her Dr. told me it was because when lying down it puts more pressure on the ear drum.
At least you know your hubby came by the "does it float" question honest lol.
Cooper is a cutie! Hannah giggled when she saw his picture (and said something that I couldn't understand).
I hope he feels better soon!
