Has anyone taken their child to a new sibling class?

At the hospital where I plan to have my baby, they offer a big brother/sister class for children 3 and over. My daughter is almost 4 1/2 and I thought about signing her up and taking her but I'm wondering if it's worth it and what experiences others might have had.

I think they are great for getting them involved.  I used to teach sibling prep classes, and I plan on taking my son also.

My daughter is really excited about the baby but I don't think she knows exactly what she's in for. Her experience with babies is mostly a little bit older ones.

My son is 8 now.  Do you think he would be too old for the class?  The description says ages 3 and up.  That seems like a wide age range.

I don't really know, but I wouldn't think that 8 would be too old.
