Anberlin's 1st shots (pics)
Annie had her 2 mo appointment on Thursday and received her first round of shots. She is weighing in at 14lbs 3oz (99%) and is 22in(93%) long. She is so healthy! She is a very big baby but also tall so she isn't chubby looking just healthy. She is sleeping really well for us too. She goes down around 10pm and sleeps until about 4 or 5am, eats, then sleeps another 2 or 3 hours. We are very lucky! She is also great at breast feeding as you can probably see by her weight! Lol! She did NOT like getting shots though! She was already upset because she was naked and cold then the dr. had me hold her hands and shoved a needle into both her thighs! It broke my heart!! She cried huge elephant tears for 10 minutes then passed out for 4 hours. It took everything in me to not break down and cry myself! I do not want to have to do that again!! Today is my first day back at work and it has been ok. I have to pump every 3 hours and that kind of sucks because I don't get a lunch break or anything because I am using it to pump instead. I really miss my baby girl tho! We got lucky and my husband gets to stay home with her until June so that makes me feel a million times better about it! I would be a wreck if she was at daycare right now!! I hope all of you are doing well! Here are some pictures of my baby girl.

Shots are the worst...but really, it gets better (for you at least)
I read this and for me it worked - if you nurse, breastfeed her or give her a small bottle while the doc if giving her the shots. My son barely cried when we did that. He is no longer on the bottle so this last time he cried hard. :-(

Hey lady! I just love seeing Josiah's adorable, blue face! He is so dang cute!

I find with Rowan that it helps if I distract him by doing something silly or kissing his face while I hold his hands, then once he realizes they're poking him (they've already gotten a shot or two in by that point) and starts making his 'I'm gonna cry" face, I slip his pacifier in his mouth, which distracts him for another second or so. By that time, it's over and he hasn't done much more than whimper or barely started to cry.
