Well it happened....

Cooper has his first real cold....  (no that's not to what I am refering in the subject line)

He doesn't just have a runny nose, he has a stuffed up nose.  Boy that made sleeping miserable last night! 

Anyway.... I gave him a bath today.  Turned on the (stand alone) shower to super-hot and kept the door open to steam up the room and filled up the big-boy-bathtub.  We played in the tub for 30+ minutes -- I think he was breathing well with all that steam. 

Suddenly he stopped, looked really intent and then....bubble bubble bubble... I thought "hrm... he had gas..."  NO. 

HE POOPED IN THE TUB !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least it was pretty solid and easily scooped up.  Time to end our bath !!    "Everyone" said it would happen some day and today was the day!

Also -- when your child has a cold and you are feeding him do not assume an open "fish" mouth means "Please, put more sweet potatoes in me."  Be aware an open mouth may be the start of a very powerful sneeze and if you spoon sweet potatoes in at just that moment you WILL have them spewed outward all over the highchair, the dog (who guards the highchair), yourself and the floor! 


Cooper in the big-boy-tub (not from today - I'm not that sick so don't be looking for floaters in the tub! Speaking of floaters -- first thing my husband asked when I told him about it was "Did it float?"  I could think of better questions -- did Cooper touch it?  Did you clean it up?  was it solid?  No - he wanted to know if it floats!  Which despite me calling it a floater it actually didn't float - TMI)

That is too cute!! My son did that to my best friend. He still gets teased about it now and he is 16.

Believe me, Shannyn, I won't let Cooper forget this!  When he brings his first girlfriend home I am ready!  (just kidding)

poor cooper.. i hope he feels better soon... nice tub!... your story reminds me... jayson peed in the tub the other day.. and laughed at it for about 5 mins LOL.. it was pretty funny... i agree with your husband..thats what i would want to know.. after eww

Cooper's peed a lot in the bath, but I don't think he connects any of those bodily functions funny yet.  I still cheer him when he farts though!
