Question........13 weeks pregnant

Hi everyone!

I am 13 weeks pregnant with my first child.  I had RNY in 2007, as result the last, almost, 3 years have been filled with complications, surgeries (30+), loss of a job as a result of the medical issues.  Prior to being pregnant, I wasn't able to eat, vomitted all the time, had diarrhea......every day multiple times a day.

Of course being pregnant has magnified all the symptoms I had previously.  My question has to do urination.........I am currently being treated with K-flex for a urinary tract infection.  My leokocytes were over 500 when they did the test.  After two doses of medication, I was beginning to feel better.  I woke up today, after being super sick for the past three, to burning again.  My question is since I have been that sick, is it possible that it is dehydration and not the infection rearing its ugly head again.....I have two more days on the anitbiotic.....

This baby is truly a miracle (I was told I would never be able to conceive), so I want to take every precaution that I can to ensure this babies health.  I don't have an OB at this point......my GYN doesn't do OB.  My first appointment with my new OB is not until Thursday.  So I would have to go to the ER if you guys think it could be something else.

I would call the Dr that diagnosed the UTI and explain everything to them and see. In the mean time up your fluids - it certainly can't hurt. How much water are you drinking a day? I top 100oz every day and I am 28 weeks.

Thay will probably have you come in and get checked. I had to put in the hospital 3 times while I was pregnant with kidney infections. Those times were awful. It never hurts to be safe when its that kind of issue. With my last infection I was having contractions too. Let us know!
