jayson story...
i was getting ready for work and had the noon news on the other day... the weather came on and they were talking about all the snow in the northeast...we live in florida so anywhere that there is snow is a huge deal.. they were talking about the power being out and blah blah blah... so the local weather came on for this weekend ( we are going to some festival this morning) and they said it would be in the 40;s.... jayson said "****" and walked away.. i had to do everything in my power not to crack up... and remind him thats not a nice word
Too funny...especially the appropriateness of how he said it and just walked away. They're so funny at that age how they come up with their comments. When my son was a little older than Jayson is, George Pataki was the Governor of NY. They had all sorts of commercials for him on TV, and my son would see the commercial start...and just finish up what they were going to say: 'George Pataki is our Governor.' Also, whenever he'd hear the computer turn on - the little music AOL used to play, he'd sit there, listen to the computer say, 'Welcome,' then he'd pipe in, 'You've got mail!'

37 weeks...you're almost done baking! Have you got all the arrangements made for Jayson for whenever you go in?
The house is coming along slowly. They came in late last week and tore up the floor in the living/dining room - two weeks earlier than initially planned...so now the floor is all bare cement. They said it has to sit for two weeks, then they'll come install the new floor. After that, they'll work on the bathroom - they have to tear out the ceramic tiles around the tub and find the leak and fix it. Hopefully it won't entail tearing out the entire tub and replacing it?! I don't think they'll do the roof or the damaged walls until spring/summer when it's not raining/snowing....so I have to just live with them for a while.
My car is supposed to be released from Serbian Customs this week...but I'll believe it when I see it. It's been sitting there - an hour or two away from me - for a month while they had their court hearings etc re the driver taking it into Serbia illegally.

most of my family lives in philly or just outside... well one year when i was in highschool i went up for spring break ( end of april) ... my grandma said that the weather had been in the high 70s during the day and 40's at night.. so i packed according to what she said... well she didnt want to "break my heart" and tell me that it was going to be in the 30;s when i got up there for the high and that there was a BLIZZARD!!!!!!!!!!!!! coming... so i arrived in my shorts and tshirt... with ONE pair of jeans an ONE sweater... so i froze the entire time... then she decided we should drive up to atlantic city and walk on the board walk ( in the 30;s) i said ok... so i put on my jeans and sweater thinking it will be warmer at the beach... WRONG!!!!!!!!! i hid in all the little shops until i could convince my grandpa we should go play slots
