Update.. New OB.. and IT'S A ...
GIRL!
Well ladies... we are adding an addition to our very own girls softball league. LOL I told DH that he was destined to coach girls softball until he dies. =) (Jackie, you can add this to the baking mama list if you like)
Update..had some issues with my OB that had been going to for almost 6 yrs. The doctor that I liked and who was with me through all my miscarriages is leaving the practice. I saw the female OB for an appointment follow-up on some heart palpitations I had been having and she completely pissed me off. Basically, she didn't read my chart where it said Patient will deliver via c-section at 38 wks. That was the plan last pregnancy and that was the plan from the beginning of this pregnancy. She wanted to argue with me and actually LAUGHED at me, stating that they "just don't do that". UHHH WRONG! READ, you condescending B!!! Not to mention patient care has gone down considerably this pregnancy and the staff has changed and I drive 45mins+ to get to the office. So I told her I wasn't going to argue with her and left and signed the records transfer forms right then and there, without another doc lined up yet.
Then the doc I tried to transfer to wouldn't take me because they considered me too high risk. So I tried to transfer to another doc and he also wouldn't take me because I was too high risk. The main thing was they didn't want to deliver me at the local hospital and wanted me to go to one of the hospitals in the city. I didn't want to, because it's a hassle with driving and parking ... etc. I finally decided I would just bite the bullet and go for the closet city hospital to me (delivered my daughter there in 1999, and it is a wonderful hospital.. then again the other one is good too.. just too much congestion to get to) Anyway.. picked a new doc.
Saw the new docs office today. They are great. I only met with physicians assistant today... but she was fabulous. The whole office was. Wonderful dispositions, and very understanding with my medical record issues (they were already being sent to the 2nd choice docs office and they were closed today so I couldn't get them, but they took me w/o them today) She went over my whole history and spent like 45 mins with me. Said they would see me in 2 wks and do a u/s for growth...
I then looked over at DH and said.. okie honie.. you only have to wait 2 more weeks and you can know what it is (baby was stubborn at the 19wk appt and wouldn't show) She said... you don't know yet?? she said.. well we can go over and do a quick scan for the sex and do the growth scan in 2wks. I WAS THRILLED. How flexible.. how accomodating... how wonderful. My other office was like pulling a tooth to get them to do anything lately.
So that is when we found out it was a girl. Literally 2 swipes of the U/S wand and she was like "It's a girl" DH was hoping boy, but I am sure that this little girl will be a daddies girl, just like Sydnee is.
They are also having me see a high risk OB at maternal fetal medicine at the hospital to do a consult, so if they need to consult with someone on me, they already have seen me.
I am TRULY happy that I changed... it was frustrating to get to this point, but very worth it.
Hope you all are doing well. I read daily, just don't get much time to post with my kids, job and new business.
