Traci, did you tell your family?

So I looked all over the board to see if Traci (thetexgirl) told her family on Sunday to see how it went, but didn't see anything. Sorry if I missed it. Can you let us know how it went?

Yes, we told all our family on Sunday. It was so excited to hear their joy! They have all been praying for us to get pregnant and with the losses we experienced last year. They didn't even know we were back trying. My hubby and told them during the ectopic that we had to hold off for five months (I think he was trying to keep them off our backs for a while).

My Mother-in-Law kept crying. After 20 minutes of trying to comfort her, we finally told her we had to let her go as we had other people to call. My father-in-law just said it was about time and it was going to be a boy!

My father was so excited. He was yelling and jumping up and down. I had to remind him to calm down because he only has one lung after his cancer treatments so he gets winded so easy. He said "I woke up at the south pole this morning feeling sad and now I am at the highest point of the North Pole and my day is amazing because my baby is having a baby". It was so touching.

Everyone was so great. Everyone says it is a boy and wants a boy. I said well I hope you will be just as happy with a girl. They all just laugh and say of course but they just know it is a boy. They all got the cards on Tuesday that we had made up for the family. They all loved them. They thought they were so cute and my mother-in-law said she is showing my belly all over town (ultrasound).

It was also great to come out at work. Of course, now I don't like all the attention I am getting..LOL!

Traci-  How fun!  I'm happy that you and your husband got to spread some joy to your family.  Aren't Dad's just the best?  Everytime I see or talk to my dad he says "How are my babies doing today".

Yes Michelle, dad's are the best. My dad called yesterday and asked how is precious cargo is times two. I said I am fine. He said no, now you have to be extra special because you were always special cargo and now you have special cargo times two with the baby!

I somehow missed the news Traci!!! How wonderful for you and your family I am so happy for you!!!! You so deserve every happiness!!!

LOVE how your Dad reacted! Mine was much the same, I am an only child :)

Awww Traci! You had me in tears over here! Especially to hear how your father reacted. That is so special! Soak up that attention girl.......it's REALLY sad when you don't have it all.....like when your own mother (mine) doesn't care about you OR the grandchildren she has. You sound like you are VERY blessed as far as your family is concerned!

I teared up at your dad's reaction. He must be wearing a permenant smile now!
