Can we absorb softgel vitamins
I am a DS not a RNY but I know that we can not. Most soft gels are liquid based and dont absorb as well, but wait for some RNY'ers to respond!!

So this may be sad, but I don't know ANYTHING about any of this stuff! LoL I guess I just assumed if I was taking it, it was working, so I do like to see questions like this and answers from the pros like Andrea as I find it so interesting.
So here's one... I take a Vitamin D softgel once a week that my surgeon prescribed to me as my levels were very low. I just assumed since my surgeon wrote the script it was a-ok. Am I right in my assumption Andrea?

Soft Gels of D never worked for me... Dry D did...
They are giving me EFA now that I am prego in the soft gel form... I presume its not working but I am still taking it and making sure I get some salmon or tuna in me 2x a week and an avacado in me on the off fish days... That way I am getting what they want me to have via real food too.
