Long Time
Hello! It has been a while since I have posted on here. I try to get on here almost everyday. It depends on if I am at work. I will probably start getting on more at home since I have a new computer.
Anyway....got a little off track. I went to the doctor Monday. I am 16 weeks. I hadn't been to the dr since before Christmas, so I was very nervous. I have only gained 3 pounds in 10 weeks. I was happy with that, but my blood pressure was a bit high, 157/92. The nurse seemed a bit concern, but the assistant didn't say anything.
One thing happened, I didn't expect to happen. They did a pap smear. They told me they normally do them around 16 weeks. Did anyone else have this? People at work thought it was strange. I looked it up and saw where some do and some don't.
Before she did the pap, she tried to find the heartbeat and couldn't find it. She tried again and we got a strong heartbeat of 163. I was so excited. I have been teasing my husband that we are having a girl because we got such a strong, fast heartbeat. He wants to think an overactive boy.
This leads to the next thing. My husband and I do NOT agree on names for a girl. We know we want to incorporate names after our grandmothers, Hazel and Lillian. I have another name that is not after anybody. I combined two names, one he likes and one I like. I am taking a poll just to get others opinions as to names. I am not going to tell who likes what, so I can say there is no bias. I will say that my husband chose the spelling for one of the names, while I chose the others.
The three names we (I) have are:
1. Hadley Erin
2. Lillei Ann Hazel
3. Hazlee Lillian
Thanks for reading/listening to my rant and your opinions. I hope everyone is doing well.

So glad that the heartbeat was nice and strong! My OB told me that it is all a myth as to the BPM.
My OB's office does a PAP at your first visit around 8 weeks if you are going to be due for one before the end of the pregnancy - they don't do it again later. Infact I get to stay dressed until I think they say 35-26 weeks lol
All of your name choices are pretty! I think that I like Hadley and Lillei Ann the best. Now what if it is a boy?? :)

I had a pap smear at 11 weeks. My OB requires it on every patient, period. Some doctors require it and some don't.
My baby's heartbeat has been 164 & 167. Everyone (family and friends) say it is a boy, except for me and Sara!
My favorite is Hadley! I am not sure how to pronounce Lillei and I am afraid she would have trouble with that. I think Hadley is unique and very pretty!
So, do you have boys names picked out in case it is a boy?

I like Hadley the best. I think Lillei is pretty, but I agree that too many people will not know how to say which could get annoying for you when she is little and for her when she is older. I am not a huge fan of Hazlee (sounds too much like paisley). But I like Hadley Erin very much. And your boy name is great too.
I thought it was weird that I got a pap as well. But it was explained to me that, by the time your next yearly rolls around you will have probably just given birth so you will probably have an abnormal. My next yearly will be scheuled for 1 year after my 12 week pap.

Mommy to 2 of the most beauiful little girls in the whole universe and still in love with my hubby of 8 years. LIFE IS GOOD!
Mine do a pap on everyone unless you just had one. I just had one today at 7 weeks since I was due. Not the most comfy thing in the world. I like Hadley ( yeah, I am a fan of theSookie books and that name is there. Also a Laurell K. Hamilton fan and want to name a girl Siobhan, again a name in one of her books LOL) and I like Lillei.
I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.

Thank you to all you have responded to my little poll. Hadley is a name that I have wanted since I found out that I was pregnant the last time. My husband came up with the name Lillei because his grandmother's name is Lillian. I want to name my daughter after my grandmother, but I am not exactly crazy about the name Hazel. My mom and cousin came up with the name Hazlee. I kind of like the name, but my husband HATES the name. He is also not fond of Hadley. I am hoping we can somehow compromise and thought I could use what others say to help my cause.
OH my lands, I had this big ole thing typed up and it got erased when I tried to put a smiley face! Lordy.
Anyway, I usually get my paps done on my 1st full OB visit. We're due at about the same time. 16 weeks isn't exactly a weird time to get your pap done....guess it just depends on the Dr., but most do it at that 1st OB visit at around 8 weeks or so when they get all that lovely blood work done too! FUN! Not....lol
As for your girl name, I like Hadley Erin the best. I think it's unique enough that you won't ever have to deal with there being 4 other Hadley's in your daughter's kindergarten class! My 1st one's name is Tyler and there has almost always been another Tyler in class with him and then when both Tyler's have last names that start with the same letter.......gets even MORE confusing. I think that with either name you pick out of your 3, you'll have that uniqueness (and I'm SURE that THAT is not EVEN a word!! LOL) factor going on. I like all 3 names really, but Hadley Erin is my fave! Sounds very girly to me!
