Holy Heebie Jeebies!

Alright so this has happened a few times to me. It feels like my skin is crawling! Mostly on my back and arms. Intensly between my shoulder blades. Any ideas? I haven't eaten/drank anything unusual. No caffeine, no sugar, no strenuous exercise (sitting at my desk at work). I had a chicken cesar salad for lunch. The same thing happened yesterday afternoon.

Anyone have anything similar happen? I'll mention it to the OB when I see her 3/2 or I will call if it gets worse before then.

That is so strange, I remember you posted this before.  I hope you get an answer!  Just wondering, are you having any feelings about what the sex of the baby is?  I'm always curious!! 

I've thought that it was a girl since conception. Hubby thinks I am dead wrong. lol

Liz, there is a condition related to pregnancy that causes severe itching. I think it's called PUPS (that's the abbreviation), google it. Not sure if the symptoms initially start with your skin feeling like it's crawling or not, but it could be.

OK Thanks Melissa. My torso, arms and head are very itchy too - I was just blaming it on winter dry skin. I will definitely mention it to the OB.

Cholestasis of pregnancy could be something. It's a liver disorder during pregnancy. You may want to talk to your ob sooner and see if they want to run liver enzymes or something

Thanks - I just had that checked with my surgeon and my OB got a copy - she said all looked normal.

My skin is sooo dry right now- that time of year.  I get like these random horrible itches that come and go- seems to happen on back especially.
