Heartbeat??

I will be having an ultrasound tomorrow at 6weeks 3days.  Will I be able to see the heartbeat?  I am so nervous.  What should I expect?

I went to the doctor at 5 weeks 5 days and they couldn't see anything yet and it really made me nervous, but they said that was pretty normal. I then went back two weeks later at 7 weeks 3 days and they could see the heartbeat so I'm not sure if at 6 weeks 3 days you'll be able to see the heartbeat or not. I'm sure they'll tell you if they expect to see it or if it's iffy at that point. I pray it goes well for you though.

Saw mine yesterday. It looked like a profile view of a talking piece of rice. Too cute!

My OB won't schedule and ultrasound until 8 weeks "just in case" you are off a few days either way. They say at 6 weeks you COULD be able to - but don't be too surprised it they can't!

You're right at the point where it MAY be visible.  Even being off by one day can make a difference at this point.  I would say go into it assuming you will NOT see it and it will be a happy surprise if you do.  That's what I did and we did see it at 6w1d.

I went for an ultrasound at 6 weeks 1 day and I heard the heart beat but couldn't see it...don't count on it and if you do then what a wonderful surprise! Its not a bad thing if they can't so early on

They wanted the ultrasound to be more towards the end of the week, but tomorrow was the only thing that they had open........oh, I'm just so nervous.  I haven't had many pregnancy symptoms thus far so I hope that everything is okay!!!

My first ultrasound was at 6w6d and we heard and saw the heartbeat on ultrasound. Good luck!

My RE won't listen for a heartbeat until 8 1/2 weeks. My ultrasound was at 6 weeks & 4 days. He just looked for the flicker of a heartbeat.

When I went to the dr, I was really early the first time and they couldn't see or hear anything.  I went back 2 weeks later.  I measure 5w5d and we could see the heartbeat, but not hear it.  It could depend on if your dates are correct and probably the drs equipment.
