Sounds like a fun day! Ask about their policies on giving pacifiers to all babies- if you're breastfeeding they should be able to mark that so that a nurse does not give your baby a pacifier. Also, ask about their NICU and where it is, just in case. You could walk up there so that both you and DH knows where it is- not that you want to use it but it might help DH to know where it is in case, since you might be out of commission if you have an emergency C-section, for example. If you're going for natural without meds, ask about that and how they file and utilize a birth plan. Ask about visitor policies- will they be restricting little ones if you have any that may come to visit because of H1N1? Ask too about their policies for after delivery regarding what you have to wear- do you have to stay in a gown or can you put on your own PJ's, including underwear and pads (There's are huge like diapers, and I was able to wear my own, which I have heard form others is not always the policy) It might be worth asking so that you can come prepared, because I didn't like the big ones they used at all! Well, that's all I can think of for now. Have fun on the tour!
