Some common terms:

TTC - trying to conceive
BFP - big fat positive (positive pregnancy test)
BFN - big fat negative (negative pregnancy test)
CD - the day of your menstrual cycle
O - ovulation
DPO - days past ovulation
LP - luteal phase (time from ovulation to period)
AF - aunt flow ( your period)
PG - pregnant/pregnancy
MC - misscarriage
RE - reproductive endocrinologist
OPK - ovulation prediction kit
CL - coverline ( for those taking their temps to confirm ovulation)
Met - metformin or glucophage ( a diabetes medication sometimes taken to help hormone levels and ovulation)
BD - baby dancing ( having timed intercourse)
DTD - doing the deed
IUI - inter uterine insemination
IVF - in vitro fertilization
PCOS - polycystic ovarian syndrome
POAS - pee on a stick (taking a pregnancy test)
2WW - two week wait...time from ovulation until you can test for pg

  I'm in the 2 ww, DPO 12, so I will test tomorrow morning until I get a positive, or until AF shows, which should be next week.

Hi ladies,
I AF came big time today. The RE is really not sure if the HCG in my system was left over or maybe a chemical. I called them and told them I had AF and they said no need to come in for the beta today. So they gave me a pack of birth control pills to take for 1 month and when AF comes next month they want to repeat the beta to make sure we are at zero before we try again. So maybe March we will be TTC again.

Hi Ladies!
I am on cd26 8dpo. Past 4 days had a stuffy/runny nose and had a sore throat for about 24hrs. Then Wed when I checked my cervix had brown cm on my finger and again yesterday. Some mild cramping yesterday. Today I finally after being snowed in got out of the house and did alot of running around and really didnt notice any symptoms. So here I am waiting and praying! GOOD LUCK LADIES!!!!

Just confirmed AF is here, so back to CD 1.  Yay.  Debating whether or not to take soy isoflavones this cycle.  I've done 2 or 3 cycles of them and the last 2 cycles my LP is down to 11-12 days, which is getting a little too short for my liking.  I know it shortens cycles for some women, I thought it just moved up O'ing but maybe it can have an adverse affect on LP.  Or maybe it's just a coincidence.  Who knows?  Here's to lots of baby dust to all of us TTC'ing.  Congrats and H&H 9 months to the ladies with BFPs!

 Well, today is CD 40 for me.  I am now 15 DPO and got a BFN this afternoon.  My boobs are a little tender and I have some very mild cramping.  My boobs never get sore so I have no clue WTH is going on.  So frustrating.  I guess I will just hang out and see what happens.  Hmph
