Losing baby and picking yourself up

I haven't been very active at all on here, but I don't know exactly who else to turn to my husbands military and we just moved to a new duty station and I don't know anyone to even talk to about this and I don't really have any family. In the process of moving the baby passed away I was 5 months along and they induced labor. I still don't know what happened I am waiting for answers. I'm not trying to scare anyone or make anyone feel sad. I just want to know from someone that has dealt with a loss how do you pick yourself up, my heart aches so much.My husband wants to try again and I do to but I am scared to death that it will happen again. I was so far along and I just seen the baby a week before that happily playing and kicking. I just don't understand. I'm sorry if I scared anyone who's pregnant right now. I just need someone to offer me any kind of advice. Thanks a bunch Becky

I can't give any answers on losing a baby that late in term...and I can't even imagine what you're going through.  I just wanted to tell you I'm sorry you're going through this.

Its a very hard process and it just takes time honestly. Just know you are not alone. My husband is military also. I am happy your husband has been there with you. A lot of time when we need them the most they are gone. Just take the time you need and you will know whats best for you. Big hugs!!

I am truly sorry for your loss.

I have lost a baby in my 2nd trimester and all I can say "Is take every moment as it comes and breath". It's hard, every day she is in my thoughts. It doesn't get easier as time goes on, the love and the hurt doesn't fade, you just learn to handle it differently. We all do and handle things our own way. I still cry, my heart still aches. There are days I wish I could just curl up into a ball and cry myself to sleep and stay in there all day.

Trying for a baby might be how your husband is coping. I don't know. You are still waiting for answers which you have every right to have, to know what happened and why they did what they did. You are still waiting for closure. Until you have what you are looking for it will be hard to start healing.

I myself did try again and had a healthy baby boy.

If you want to pm you are more than welcome too.

Best wishes

I wanted to thank you all for your kind words. I thought about deleting this post because I'm such a private person and because this makes what happened maybe to much of a reality for me.I realized maybe I wasn't ready to reach out or maybe I'm just scared to ask how to deal with the pain. Please know that if I don't respond it's not because I don't want to I'm just still recovering and can't get online often just yet. I wish all of you the best.Thank you

My loss was much earlier (11 weeks) but not easy. One day at a time. Luckily I was able to get pregnant again very quickly and am 25 weeks along. My husband wanted to try again immediately too - I think it was his way of dealing.

*hugs*

Becky,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know you said you are a private person but I encourage you to become an active part of the board as there are many women here who have experienced loss in one way or another and can offer so much support, that is desperately needed. If you ever need to talk one on one, please feel free to PM me.

I am so sorry for your loss. This is a pregnancy board and all that comes with it. There are those that have suffered losses, had trouble trying to concieve, and are here for one another. If you need to talk, reach out to someone. No one can fully understand what you personally feel, but there are those that have had losses that can be there to support you and listen to your feelings.

Take time to grieve and heal!
