Carpal tunnel, shortness of breath and the heeby jeebies
Good Morning All - A few questions:
1) anyone experience "pregnancy carpal tunnel"? The last week my wrist and right thumb have been very painful, I figured that I had bruised it somehow so I was just taking tylenol and waiting it out. Well last night I was describing this to my Mom and she said that it sounded like Carpal tunnel. So off to research I go - seems that our wrists can swell too and cause this?! Who would have thought! I'll mention it to the Dr when I see her next or call if it gets worse.
2) I have been very short of breath. I mentioned it to the OB and she just said that can be normal but if it continues to call my PCP - the last few days I feel like I am running up a flight of stairs and all I did was walk to the bathroom. I'll call my PCP when they open at 8:30 and see if I can get in today to see the Dr.
3) I have NEVER had a reaction to tylenol PM - well last night I popped 2, went to bed and about 45 minutes later I felt like there were bugs under my skin and I had a horrible case of the heeby jeebies! I had to get up and take a shower to try and calm it down. I waited another hour and took 2 bendaryl figuring if it was a reaction that should counteract it and if not it would at least knock me out so I could get some sleep - work was still looming out there this morning.
Thanks for listening - I keep hearing "normal" but I feel so weird I don't know how it is possible! lol Just looking for the "been there done that's" to put a first time Mommy-to-be's mind at ease.
Liz

Benadryl is the active ingredient in the 'PM' part of Tylenol PM so you doubled your dose last night! You probably got the creepy crawlies from the Benadryl (diphenhydramine) - even though it has a sedative effect it IS an antihistamine and can make you jittery too!
I use to take Bendaryl all the time to help me sleep then one day it just started having the adverse affect on me. I had to find an alternative sleep aid.

Don't tell me that about the Carpal tunnel! I have had surgery for it and I don't want to live with it again! I do know I have had a metalic taste in mymouth and I looked it up and it's normal. I still don't feel "normal"

I haven't heard of too many women it has affected but it is under the "normal" catagory unfortunately! You might be OK since you had the surgery.
I told someone that I work with that if you ever want every weird thing that happens to you to be normal - get pregnant! lol Seems like no matter what I bring up to them it is normal!
