So I just found out the I was pregnant on Wednesday.  Today (yesturday too) my back hurts.  It feels like it does before I get my period.  Should I be worried?  This is my first pregnancy after years of trying and I just want everything to be okay.  I have had some light cramping as well, but no spotting.  What do you guys think?  Do you have any experiences with this??

happened to me too and we are kicking and squiggling at 25 weeks now! Unfortunately my back still hurts though lol

I too had those crampy type feelings - OB and these lovely ladies told me that it was everything moving and stretching.

Congrats again!

Very normal Angie- I never got period cramps so both times I've gotten pregnant... I knew because I got the same discomfort you are describing... I thought.. hmmm this is weird i'm having cramps and then like 2 weeks later I found out I was pregnant.

I was like you very scared when i thought my period was coming any day...felt just like it, cramps, back ache, etc.  I would even keep going to the bathroom and check to be sure I wasn't spotting etc.  I went one time to the ER it hurt so bad and really scared me.  I never had any spotting and heading into week 29 and from time to time, still have those same feelings...Dr. told me that as long as I saw no spotting, discharge, etc...that it was normal.

I hope you feel better-Stacey

PS...you think you get rid of Aunt Flo for nine months--only to realize every symptom that comes with her comes at you...for nine straight months....

no one believes me BUT I've had a horrible back ache since the DAY AFTER i conceived.
I always had back issues pre weight loss but hadn't had any issues in nearly 9 months post op, then BAM day after i conceive (no it wasn't crazy back breaking sex LOL) and i bless with KILLER back pain ...its actually what led me to even entertain the idea of being pregnant.
The pain got so bad that i went to the doctor w/in a week of conceiving and the doctor ordered x-rays and gave me a script for vicodin...as i was about to walk out of the door towards x-ray she said "WAIT, is there a possibility you could be pregnant?!"
Having been virtually infertile for YEARS before wls, the fact that i put my nuva ring in 4 days late didn't even once make me think that i might be pregnant...but somehow the fact that she asked me that question made me break a sweat! That was at about 10 DPO and at about 18 dpo I  got a BFP!!
lol  I'm so glad that she stopped me when she did!
P.s. the feeling that my period was coming (cramping and soreness) didn't go away until about 7 weeks!

I had terrible back ache with my both of my pregnancies, especially the 2nd which was 1st post-op ..

It's pretty normal. Watch for sharp, constant pain and of course any bleeding.

Congratulations!!
