OT: Permanent Make-up

I hate that my eyelids are so oily and I can't ever get makeup to stay on them.  I even buy expensive makeup and primers to see if that makes a difference.  Nope, it doesn't.  So, I have a consultation tomorrow for permanent eyeliner.  I just want something very natural that if I choose to wear a different color one day then I can put it over the permanent.  I look exhausted if I don't have eyeliner on, to the point where people will continually ask if I am okay.  Are there any ladies out there that have had this done?  Thoughts?  Did you like it?  Hate it?  Are you glad you did it?  Any suggestions?

Thanks a bunch :)

My SIL has permanent eyeliner and lipliner.  In the beginning she liked it, but the lines are really thin, and so unless she puts makeup over it, it looks kind of weird.  It also fades, and she has chosen to not have it retouched.  She told me she wouldn't do it over if she could go back.  That's all I know.  Hopefully someone who's had it done will respond.

My friend had it done and loves it. One bit of warning is after you have it done you look like you have been beat up for a bit.

My aunt had permanent eyeliner and eyebrows. She loved it (especially the eyebrows... no plucking) but she said it hurt SO bad. I loved how it looked on her- eyebrows were so natural and the eyeliner wasn't too much but she could've made it more pronounce if she had somewhere special to go

I had planned to get perm eyeliner and then someday Lasik and was told the Lasik would ruin the dye job of the eyeliner with its heat (or something to that effect, can't remember at this point since I scrapped the idea when I found out about it).  Maybe ask if that's an issue for you.  It is a dye you are having inserted into a very sensitive area and you want someone very skilled working around your eyes.

2 of my good girlfriends have theirs done and they look awesome!  They both have their lip liner done as well.  I will say I remeber they both had black, swollen eyes after.  They looked like they had beat each other up!  It was quite funny....lol

I've often wanted to get mine done but I end up spending money on other things I want.  Maybe one day I will take the time to go get it done!

I was going to have eyeliner done by the lady who does my laser treatments.  I had a reaction on the spot test so she would not do it.

God Bless! Jen

I had my eyebrows tattood with the perm. makeup.  It hurt, and you have to redo it, face wash removes it over time...i decided not to redo it.  each person is different.  the pain to me isnt worth it, ill use a pencil to give my eyebrows some color. (they are really blonde, and im a redhead)

I had the permanent eye liner done in December and I love it.  Your eye's will be puffy like you've been crying all night.  It only lasts a couple of days.  Once it's fully healed you will need to go back and have it done again.  If you only have them do it once it will fade very quickly.  I was told with the 2 sessions it should last about 8 years.
