A Real Mind Job: Pregnancy and the Band
There's no way I could handle being pregnant at full restriction and I never had any nausea to deal with.
I had almost all of my fluid removed at 8 weeks and I've only gained a few pounds at 27 weeks. At my appointment yesterday I had actually lost a couple from the previous visit. If I do start putting on weight, I know I have my band when the pregnancy is over and I'll get back on track once I have restriction again.
There's no way I was able to eat enough with full restriction for me and my baby and she's the priority, not me.
Sure, I worry about getting the weight off later but that's later and it's secondary to the wellbeing of my baby. When I was going through the process of losing weight, I finally learned to put myself first. I can't do that now...she comes first.

You asked yourself if you were being ridiculous about worrying about the weight gain. Meaning had *some* suspicion that you were.
Priorities. Your major concern right now should not be how much weight you're gonna gain. If your baby needs you go gain some, you gotta go with it. Worry about the weight after you've delivered a healthy baby.

Are RNYers not allowed to comment either? You really should have stated who is qualified to respond to you in your thread title.
You did not mention a family history of high pregnancy weight problems in your original message. Your main concern was with losing AFTER the baby.
And if your concern was actually *medical*, you wouldn't have worried that you were being ridiculous.
Please don't try to fool anybody.

That was not my intention. If this was all just a misunderstanding, I really wish you had the decency to stand by your own words and not delete all of your posts.
My concern was that you were going to DELIBERATELY try not to gain any weight because you were so worried about losing it after the baby. In my opinion, that's dangerous for both of you. You can't fight your body when it's doing something so important as making another human life.
I understand as a formerly MO woman how scary it is to feel like you're getting fat again because of the pregnancy. It's scary. But my goal was to get you to understand that that shouldn't be your biggest fear right now. 10 fingers and toes and a healthy baby is what you should be thinking about.
