Three of my cousins have had sections and none of them were WLS'ers. From what I have seen on here it doesn't really matter. For me, I will prolly have a section due to a result of the by pass. I have blood pressure issues now and the midwife said I will prolly have one.

No problem. Seems like most women on here can be an open book so if you have questions, just ask!

Very few of the women that I've seen on this board have had csections.  I had a csection, but it had nothing to do with WLS.  He decided to turn around at the last minute and got stuck :)

My WLS surgeon told me NEVER to let an OB tell you that you need a c-section because of your WLS. There might be other reasons but WLS will never be one of them!

No but a higher BMI does so therefore some of us are more likely to have c-sections.

No.

I've had two natural deliveries.

Unless you have  a condition that REQUIRES you to need a c-section, the gastric bypass alone does not make you more likely to have a c-section. As the old saying goes around here, your stomach has nothing to do with your uterus! lol

I read a statistic the other day that the rate of CS for WLS patients could be as high as 62% but I don't believe that is related to the WLS whatsoever.  Be a strong advocate for yourself and your child and don't be scared into an unnecessary major surgery.
